A world-renowned environmental consultancy business is currently recruiting a Business Development Associate, based out of their Manchester site.As Business Development Associate you will be responsible for incoming sales enquiries from clients whilst havingthe ability to identify new opportunities.
Business Development Associate responsibilities
- Handling incoming sales enquiries from clients, you'll respond in a timely manner to ensure we maintain high levels of service and client satisfaction
- Defining what the client needs, you'll liaise with laboratory staff to ensure these needs can be met and, then prepare quotes
- Identify opportunities with new and existing clients and make calls to develop new quotes
- Nurture client relationships to ensure ongoing opportunities are realised and the cost of sales is minimised
- Use the systems and tools we have in place such as our Laboratory Management System (LIMS).
- Work closely with marketing to develop leadgeneration campaigns and supporting content that highlights our value proposition and distinguishes us from our competitors
Business Development Associate requirements
- Ideally degree level qualification but not essential.
- Previous experience in a sales/key account management role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively communicate at various levels within organisations.
- Great communication skills including telephone manner
- Experience working in a fastpaced environment, and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Lab/scientific experience would be beneficial
