Gloucester Cathedral is seeking to appoint a Head of Fabric and Property, who will play a fundamental role as we enter a crucial period of development.

The Cathedral's strategic vision for the next ten years involves several major projects that aim to safeguard this extraordinary place of prayer and celebration.


These projects bring a number of opportunities to make a lasting difference as we seek to be a 21st century Cathedral for all; this includes transforming our property portfolio and driving forward our green agenda so that we can play our part in meeting the National Church's Net Zero 2030 aims.

The four priority areas for the Head of Fabric and Property will be as follows:

  • Fabric and Property: To lead and be responsible for delivery of a fabric and property strategy that incorporates the Cathedral church and our c.60 historic and listed properties
  • Project Development and Delivery: To manage and deliver major projects associated with Cathedral fabric
  • Management and Training: To shape and lead the Fabric and Property team, which will include the existing Stonemason and Maintenance teams
  • Net Zero 30: To lead our fabricfocussed green ambitions, developing a practical Net Zero 2030 strategy and action plan


We are searching for someone with a passion for historic buildings and conservation, who can demonstrate senior experience in at least one of the four priority areas.

Salary:
£45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
