Cedars Care Group, is a family run company with nearly 20 years' experience in nursing, dementia and elderly care and six boutique homes across the UK.

We are looking for a weekend cook to assist with the catering requirements for the residents in one of our Southport care homes.

Shifts will be Saturday and Sunday 8.00am to 4.00pm with the potential of overtime if desired to cover absence and annual leave.

(16 hour contract)

Responsibilities:

To supervise the catering function within the Home and to provide nutritious, homely meals for our elderly residents, this will also require taking into account special dietary needs, such as pureed or modified diets.
To observe and operate a standard of cleanliness and hygiene that meets legislation related to the registration of the Home.
Help with inventory management and stock rotation.
Food is cooked and served at correct temperature.

Requirements:

We are looking for applicants who have a good understanding of working in kitchens like this before, and would preferably have their food & hygiene training or something similar to show they can work in this environment comfortably.
