We are currently seeking an experienced Sprayer/ Finisher to join our growing team and oversee our carpentry department.

Requirements:

Knowledge of all aspects of paint spraying including stains, base coats, sealers, lacquers, primers, PU's, acid cat paints, pre cat paint, water based paints.
Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols when working with paints, solvents, and other potentially hazardous materials, including proper ventilation, protective gear, and disposal procedures.
Knowledge of preparation of all surface types
Problemsolving: The capability to troubleshoot issues such as paint runs, uneven coverage, or colour discrepancies, and implement solutions to achieve the desired result.
Maintenance and

Equipment Care:

Proper maintenance of paint sprayers and other painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

Exceptional attention to detail
Exceptional Technical understanding of all coatings
5 years similar experience and / or NVQ level Time management and organisational skills are high priority due to the nature of the projects.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other members of the scenic construction team, including designers, carpenters, and other painters, to coordinate efforts and ensure the successful completion of projects.

Desirable:

Colour Mixing: Knowledge of colour theory and the ability to mix paints accurately to achieve specific colours and shades required for scenic designs.
Experience working in events, theatrical or television productions.
