We are currently seeking an experienced Sprayer/ Finisher to join our growing team and oversee our carpentry department.


Requirements:


  • Knowledge of all aspects of paint spraying including stains, base coats, sealers, lacquers, primers, PU's, acid cat paints, pre cat paint, water based paints.
  • Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols when working with paints, solvents, and other potentially hazardous materials, including proper ventilation, protective gear, and disposal procedures.
  • Knowledge of preparation of all surface types
  • Problemsolving: The capability to troubleshoot issues such as paint runs, uneven coverage, or colour discrepancies, and implement solutions to achieve the desired result.

Equipment Care:

Proper maintenance of paint sprayers and other painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.


  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional Technical understanding of all coatings
  • 5 years similar experience and / or NVQ level Time management and organisational skills are high priority due to the nature of the projects.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other members of the scenic construction team, including designers, carpenters, and other painters, to coordinate efforts and ensure the successful completion of projects.

Desirable:


  • Colour Mixing: Knowledge of colour theory and the ability to mix paints accurately to achieve specific colours and shades required for scenic designs.
  • Experience working in events, theatrical or television productions.
