Our exciting luxury food start-up client is looking for a Procurement Executive to join their team.

This is a full time, office-based role. The location is Leeds.

Procurement Executive Responsibilities:

Supporting the company CEO in the sourcing and selection of luxury food and beverage products from across Europe and the UK and in due course further afield.
Agree the ranging strategy with CEO for all the key seasons and trading periods.
Managing the engagement with potential and existing suppliers.
Collating and managing product information.
Leading supplier negotiations.
Establishing trusted relationships with the suppliers.
Development and implementation of appropriate procurement process and policy frameworks.
Establish an appropriate supplier management framework.
Conduct regular supplier reviews to deliver continuous improvement in product range, quality, and pricing.
Managing the category and seasonal strategies to ensure a comprehensive range of available products.
Work with other functions in the business to ensure all products are listed and on sale according to launch timings.

Person Specification:

Experience in a procurement role, preferably in the food and beverage sector with experience of overseas producers being preferable.
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
Profit orientated and cost conscious.
Demonstrated experience of the development and implementation of procurement processes and policies.
Understanding of food safety and food import requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work to pressured time frames and deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously.
Experience of ERP systems and Office software.
