Description

The Role

As a member of the Ground Software Products Team, you will be developing and enhancing ground-based satellite mission software in areas such as Mission Planning, Mission Control, Image/data Processing, Network Communications and Spacecraft Simulators.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements capture

Design

Implementation

Unit, integration, and system testing

Bug tracking and version control

Peer reviews (including code reviews)

User documentation

Support for satellite commissioning and in-orbit operations

Scrum ceremony attendance and support to the Delivery Manager

Qualifications Knowledge & Skills

C++ software full lifecycle development executing on MS Windows/Linux

Excellent Modern C++ and OO expertise

Solid experience using the STL & MS Visual Studio, Git,

Desirable:
Python, Java, SQL, BitBucket, GDAL, OpenCV, ENVI, QGIS, GeoServer

High degree of organisation, self-motivation, and initiative

Good team working skills

Ability to work simultaneously on a variety of projects

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

Decision making and creative problem solving skills

Results orientated with a strong drive to deliver

Proven ability to deliver solutions under pressure and to tight timescales

The role is based in our clients Head Office in Guildford but and they fully support hybrid working and a range of flexible working options

Inside IR35 Monthly Rolling Contract
