Fortus (Yorkshire) Ltd is on an exciting journey. We are a National Trade only Electronic Security Distribution Company specialising in Security Wholesale in the UK. Our customers have access to a wide range of security products including highly reputable and well-established brands. We are now the largest privately owned B2B security distribution company in the UK and Ireland.


We are now looking to grow our team by recruiting a permanent full time
Warehouse Assistant to join us in the Sheffield Branch.

You will assist in the day-to-day running of a busy Security Wholesaler dealing with customers and suppliers face to face and on the phone.

If you have previous experience of working in a Trade counter / Warehouse environment we would love to hear from you.


The Role & Key Responsibilities:


  • General Stock control including regular stock takes in the warehouse
  • Correctly picking customer orders against despatch notes
  • Receive deliveries and confirm against supplier documentation
  • Communicating any shortages or damaged stock
  • Ensure stock is clearly labelled and correctly located at all times
  • Restocking stores with incoming goods
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Packing goods for courier despatch
  • Deliveries to customers in company vehicles when required
  • Dealing with product returns

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
  • Works to a high degree of accuracy when undertaking warehouse administration, stock control and stock checks.
  • Able to work on own initiative and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrable experience using a Computer and office/ warehouse systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willing to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business.
  • You are dependable and reliable.
  • The role does involve some heavy lifting.

What we can offer you:

Our Branch hours are 08:00 to 5:30pm Monday to Friday

  • Annual Salary up to £19,500k
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata to start date)

  • Eligible to join Healthcare scheme after probation period.
