Business Development Manager - 3PL Industry


Location:
Remote


Salary:
£50,000 - £65,000 plus benefits

If you value autonomy, trust, a challenge with huge potential for growth and development and have solid New Business experience within Sales/Business Development in a 3PL environment, then this is going to be a really exciting oppotunity


I'm working with a National Retail Group who have set up a 3PL division to utilise their new DC acquired this year and wider infrastructure and we're looking for someone to really run with their early success in this field, bringing in new business and fillingthe remaining pallets/units.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the 3PL industry
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Negotiate deals and secure new business
  • Monitor market trends, developments and competitors
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Lead teams to deliver successful projects
  • Monitor progress, performance and profitability of projects
  • Act as point of contact for clients
  • Follow up on leads and opportunities
  • Work with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery
  • Attend industry events, conferences and exhibitions

Technical Skills Required:


  • Proven experience in the 3PL industry
  • Proven experience in business development
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills
  • Excellent organisational, problemsolving and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to deliver successful projects
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of the latest market trends and developments
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
