Joining Tate & Lyle in the UK
Our global headquarters are in a fantastic London location, overlooking Hyde Park near Marble Arch. The office is home to our Executive Board and colleagues working across a range of global functions. The majority of the team split their time between home and office. The site is set up to support hybrid working and promote collaboration.

It is a progressive workspace with a mix of different areas including meeting pods, sofas, an outside terrace, a quiet library room and a wellbeing space.


Your role in our future


As Head Office Host, you will help make sure the office is a place our people can do their best work and want to spend time, liaising with facilities, IT and third parties to keep things working and responding to office related queries.


You will support Tate & Lyle visitor hosts, ensuring they are able to provide their guests with the best experience during their visit.

You will also help to facilitate key meetings - supporting Personal / Executive Assistants on an ad hoc basis.


You will be responsible for planning and executing events and communications that bring our hybrid London (and global Tate & Lyle) community together in, and out, of the office.

As a key point of contact, you will be based in the office 5 days a week.


Key responsibilities:

Office support:

  • Working with external suppliers to ensure provisions for the office are in place, such as stationery and refreshments
  • Managing our incoming and outgoing post and supporting with courier requirements as needed.
  • Answering calls into our switchboard
  • Supporting the Facilities Manager with facilities administration and resolving building issues that arise quickly and efficiently
  • Working with EAs and PAs to ensure a smooth guest experience, supporting with preparations for important meetings for example preparing meeting rooms and ordering catering, as well as providing ad hoc admin support as needed
  • Along with the IT team, acting as a super user in office enabling technologies, including meeting room booking system, MS Teams etc.
  • Helping to make the office a place to connect by organising engagement events to bring our people together, this may include lunches, talks or wellbeing events. This work will connect with our communication and reward strategies
  • Completing the necessary tasks to ensure the office meets Tate & Lyle's health and safety standards, such as weekly site inspections and checks on our health and safety equipment
  • Proactively engaging in our Journey to Excellence, working with all teams to reach our Environment, Health and Safety goals
HR Support

  • Working with the HR team to ensure local employee benefits are explored and offered to employees as appropriate
  • Completing Right to Work checks
  • Completing site and health and safety inductions for all new starters
  • Supporting Occupational Health and Wellbeing events

Communications:

  • Leading on communications with employees about the office environment and activities in the local area to help build an engaged office community
  • Creating and updating communications in the office digital platforms to ensure content is up to date and engaging. Ensuring delivery of communications about the office environment to those on and off site
  • Utilising a variety of communications channels, including screens, intranet, digital newsletters, vlogs, yammer and other internal social media as appropriate
  • Supporting employees to onboard to the new office environment, sharing information about the workspace and how to use the office to maximise their workday
  • Supporting Tate & Lyle visitor hosts, or those facilitating visits to the site helping to answer questions and facilitate visitor onboarding
Helping to drive our purpose of 'Supporting Lives for Generations' by:

  • Taking an active role in supporting employee well-being on site. Organising and communicating Occupational Health services and other well-being activities, such as well-being events and classes held on site
  • Owning relationship with local volunteer organisations to drive meaningful partnerships within the community
