Nursery Assistant - Feltham

The School:


  • A primary school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism
  • Cater for children from 3 to 11 years old
  • OSTED 'Good' rated school
  • Currently 198 pupils on roll across both of their sites

The Role:


  • As a Nursery Assistant, you will need to establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils
  • Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour, reporting difficulties as appropriate
  • Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupil's work
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher

Requirements:


  • Available to work 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday
  • Recent experience working with children in a school or alternate setting
  • Must have a willingness to help with pupils' personal needs.
  • Have previous experience working with SEN children ideally
  • Either live in Feltham or within a commutable distance

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
