Body Design Principal Engineer - 0655

Cranfield

To start ASAP - 12 month contract

Rate:

£29.60/hr PAYE

Inside IR35

Deliverables / KPIs / SLAs

PROJ development document and report materials
CAD, design drawings and design note.

Description:

Body part design and development for new vehicle projects.
Metal press part, plastic/fabric trim part, mechanical part will be a scope of design study.

- (BIW structures, BIW trim, NVH insulators, glass, door mechanics, etc)

To study design shape based on basic material/structure engineering and customer's requirement.
To have a discussion with related departments (Other part design, manufacturing team, purchasing, project management, CAD team, suppliers, etc) and to find technical solution.
Prepare drawing/data note and have a review with line managers.

Qualifications, Skills and Training Requirements

Experience in car industry is very welcome.
Basic understanding and skill of mechanical engineering is expected.
To organize and be confident with an ability to manage projects within set deadlines
Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment in managing priorities.

Communication language

English (fluent)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Valid driving license
