Job Title:
Admin support and on-call Assistant
Reports To:
General Manager
Salary:
£20,000 FTE plus additional on-call supplement
Role:
Part time - 2 days per week in the office (16) plus additional telephone on-call, which can be discussed at interview.
Start Date:
ASAP
Summary of Role
- Support with the day to day running of our busy care agency
- Help to coordinate shifts, the role will include supporting the management in the daytoday running of the service, ensuring the effective running of the business in providing support staff to care services whom Morecare Support Services supply to.
- To support the General Manager in organising the rostering system and allocating shifts to staff when they are sent within a timely manner, confirming and completing the booking systems as needed. Updating managers and services when shifts are booked or changed.
- To undertake office duties within the business, including general admin tasks throughout the day, including HR tasks.
- The role will require 2 days per week working in the office, alongside the team. Days can be discussed at interview and will need to be flexible.
- The role will include oncall responsibilities, which can be discussed and arranged at interview. This is in a call coordinator capacity and is worked from home, not physically covering shifts or being required to go into the office.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, including both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrates understanding of the requirements of the post, including working on an oncall rotational shift basis including working public holidays and weekends.
- Have the ability to organise and oversee staff and maintain a professional attitude
- Must be flexible and reliable.
- Have the ability to work autonomously
- Must be able to promote a positive climate for support staff.
- Must be honest and trustworthy.
- Must be discreet, respectful and trustworthy of both staff and customers we support. The ability to be entrusted with confidential and sensitive personal information is essential.
- Must be able to attend and participate in full induction programme and undertake training as required to meet statutory requirements, in order to improve and maintain professional knowledge and competence.
- A knowledge of health and safety when supporting vulnerable adults
- Have an understanding of human rights, dignity, privacy, respect and choice
- Have the ability to record information accurately and concisely
Desirable:
- Experience of working within care services

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
£12,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
