Production Operative - Vinyl Pressing
An opportunity has arisen to learn the skill of making great vinyl records.

We will give full training in all aspects of the process from pressing the discs to assembling the final records.

The role will be full time: Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Pressing of vinyl records to fulfil demand from customers as well as our own releases.
Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting all pressing machinery and equipment, including:
Changing pressing moulds to accommodate for production of different record formats.
Monitoring output during operation and making adjustments as necessary to ensure consistently high product quality.
Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks of machinery as per maintenance schedules and checklists.
Preparation for production of upcoming orders in liaison with Production Manager, to ensure all additional resources are ready on time to match production schedule.
Reporting of any defects found and taking remedial action where possible to keep production running.
Continuously reporting requirements for replenishment of production related resources and consumables.
Processing / recycling of excess material for reuse in production.
Keeping the work environment clean and in good condition, including adhoc maintenance of tools, machinery and related resources and additional equipment.
Is able to follow instructions and learn quickly on the job.
Is selfmotivated and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Has an organised approach to all tasks and can work focused and with accuracy at all times.
Has experience with operating machinery, working with tools and carrying out general maintenance and takes an interest in learning about new machinery and processes.
Understands the importance of the role within the context of the business.

Desirable:

Full clean driving licence and be able to drive up to 3.5T van.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse role.

The positions will report directly to the Production Manager and will be managed on a shift basis.

The roles are multi-faceted and, as such, will be diverse and will enable you to experience all elements in the manufacturing and distribution process.

We are looking for people who are not afraid of hard, and sometimes dirty, work, are able to work late shifts, have great communication skills, show real attention to detail and a desire to learn new skills.

From £11.44 per hour
