We need a Kitchen Assistant with some cooking experience to assist our Chef in the preparation of nutritious meals for our residents to enjoy.

You will become part of a team who take pride in delivering good, nutritious food in a pleasant and homely environment, and we would hope that you are able to step up to assist with the cooking and preparation of meals to cover holidays and illness

Your role will be:

To assist with the preparation of meals and snacks, and ensure tea trolleys are well equipped/stocked and delivered to the correct area of the home.
To liaise with all staff to ensure that individual residents' needs are met on a daily basis.
To maintain a hygienic environment in the kitchen at all times including:
Regular cleaning of all areas, as per Cleaning Rota.
Keeping a clean and safe environment, including ensuring the dishwasher is kept clean, washing up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher, empty kitchen waste and ensuring all food is treated in a hygienic and appropriate way
Attend all Health & Safety and COSHH training updates as required to ensure safe practices are adhered to at all times.

You will need to have a PVG (Disclosure Scotland), good basic food hygiene knowledge, COSHH, and exceptional attention to detail

From £10.42 per hour
