This role is Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm - Plus one Saturday morning 8am - 12pm per month

Role Purpose
Pick and pack orders of stair parts for customers. To assist with the general upkeep of the warehouse. Load and unload deliveries, put stock away and undertake stock checks. Make up small component part kits.

Main Responsibilities

The main duties of this role are to assist the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that company buildings, equipment, and facilities are running as efficiently as possible.

This includes (but is not limited to) the following:

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with undertaking any daytoday building maintenance tasks.
Use the warehouse system to pick and pack orders of stair parts and ensure all the orders are picked and packed in a timely fashion.
Assembling component parts (e.g. screws, brackets etc.) to make small kits for sale.
Stock replenishment both in the main warehouse and in store.
Assist with the loading and unloading of consignments delivered to the two warehouse sites.
Assist with the booking in of deliveries of products to both warehouse sites, scanning into stock and the putting away of stock.
Undertake routine stock taking duties.
Maintain a working knowledge of company products and services, and offer support and information to team members, customers and stakeholders when required.
Adhere to safe working practices and report any Health and Safety issues to the Company.
Any other duties deemed reasonable to assist with the smooth running of the warehouse as and when required.

Person Specification
Types of experience and specific knowledge required for this role:

The ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative and working independently
Good attention to detail
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Good accuracy and organisational skills
The ability to work to targets and deadlines and be able to multitask
Good timekeeping
Previous experience of using an electronic picking and packing system would be an advantage
IT skills (specific as required)
The ability to be flexible and have a 'can do' attitude
Fork lift truck driving license is desirable.

Pay:
£11.44 per hour
