Role Overview

  • To be the focal point for Project Security Compliance and related activities for the business.
  • To lead the Document Control Team and ensure that processes comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, documentation is correct and to a high standard, and issued through workflow by SQEP personnel with a full auditable trail.
  • To ensure all project deliverables are met and Document Controllers adhere to approved project budgets.

Accountabilities

  • Good knowledge of the HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF) or equivalent, and security controls / requirements for handling of Government Classified Information.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and provide support for all aspects of Project Security and Security Classification requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate Project Security measures and mechanisms to guard against unauthorised access to electronically stored or transmitted data and protect against reasonably anticipated threats.
  • Process all Security Aspects Letters (SAL) received from clients and brief out to the Project Team, Supply Chain and Sub Contractors (with all associated paperwork, including but not limited to DEFFORMs).
  • Handle all Project related Security Events, Incidents and Breaches.
  • Carry out Security Inductions for all new starters.
  • Security vetting and aftercare measures for staff and Supply Chain.
  • Support the Security Manager as required.
  • Lead and manage the Document Control Team and ensure high standards are delivered and maintained throughout the department, by ensuring effective time and attendance, efficiency, and timely processing of project documentation to tight deadlines, policy processes, procedures and business standards are followed, and that accountability of all team members are known, whilst providing direction and motivation where required.
  • Responsible for ensuring Lifetime Quality Records are produced in compliance with Customer requirements and international Quality Standards.
  • Attend Project Gate Meetings as required.
  • Process all Project photographs taken by the business and store in the Document Management System.
  • Responsible for the Coordination of archiving of Project documentation (hardcopy and electronic).
  • Full understanding and implementation of customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the training of new personnel on the Document Management System and providing assistance with any queries. Assisting all departments with queries on documentation requirements and submissions

Qualifications
GCSE in Maths & English

IT Qualification

Management / Leadership


Experience & Knowlegde
Security controller training

Knowledge of Security Classification including Official Sensitive - NNPPI

Experience with Security Management Frameworks

Experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical

Awareness of DMS

Basic understanding of Engineering Drawings

Minimum 2 year experience in an Administration Environment

Proficient in IT and Microsoft Packages
