Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Edinburgh who are looking for Machine Operatives to join their busy team.

About the position:

To ensure that the wrapping machine and associated machinery is operated and maintained in such a way as to maximise the quality of wrapping whilst minimising disruption to production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Accurately enter the correct date code and day letter for the product, as specified by the Daily Production Plan, into the Markem/Avery coding machine and ensure the code is legible on the product wrap/label.
Operate and maintain the wrapping machine and other related machinery ensuring the highest possible quality of wrapped product
Maintain a tight control of the level of waste product.
Carry out and record on the process control sheets (if applicable) periodic checks on the quality of the product and wrap.
Ensure the good housekeeping of the work area and that hygiene schedules are strictly adhered to.
Prior to use, ensure the wrapping machinery is in safe working condition.
At the request of the Training Coordinator / Line Manager, support new machine operators in the learning of their duties and responsibilities.
Carry out metal detection checks to ensure no contamination to the product.

About you:

Previous experience essential
Excellent level of English
Ability to work independently and in a team

Starting rate - £11.27

Shifts - rotating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm OR Fixed Night shift 10pm - 6am
