At Citizens Advice we believe no one should have to face their problems without good quality, independent advice.

That's why we're here to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

Therefore, we are excited to announce that we are seeking to recruit an Information Assistant to join our team at Citizens Advice Barnsley.

Our thriving charity is busy, dynamic and client focused, with a long track record of delivering high quality advice.

We are looking for an outgoing and approachable person to work with the Energy Adviser to support vulnerable adults from across Barnsley with energy information and advice to help them improve their finances and beat the cost of living crisis.

Your role will be to act as a point of contact between our organisation and members of the community by:

  • Providing reception cover in our main office in Barnsley Town Centre
  • Attending facetoface community outreach events all across Barnsley, supporting the energy adviser to deliver energy information, advice and training.
  • Assisting with administration and communications via production of posters, leaflets, newsletters, social media etc.
