Business Overview


The client solutions function within the Atalian Servest is designed to facilitate and support the successful winning and retaining of business across the UK and Ireland.


The Senior Bid Manager will drive the end-to-end coordination of customer bid activity, including the coordination and administration of all project and stakeholder management activity, production of high-quality written responses to bid opportunities andsubmission of opportunities within the UK Private Sector Business Development team.


The Senior Bid Manager will hold complete accountability for the quality of the bid materials along with the 'buy-in' from the business to provide the content and resources required to submit the proposal to the customer.

This unique role extends to allclient facing collateral, including proposals, presentation content, follow-up interaction and customer engagement requirements as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • To develop a deep knowledge of Atalian Servest across the group, building both horizontal and vertical relationships with business leaders to facilitate and support the winning of new business.
  • To program manage bid activity, including the facilitation of kickoff meetings, solution development, final bid document submission, bid award and (if appropriate) handover to operations.
  • Researching potential clients and developing an understanding of their requirements to support the development of the solution.
  • Organising and facilitating bid/no bid sessions, bid kick off and solution meetings in conjunction with the primary sales lead, commercial analysts, supply chain partners and other bid contributors.
  • Create written content which is persuasive and informative.
  • The creative skills and vision to generate compelling content and produce graphics to replace wording, where appropriate. To coordinate with the design team to create the 'look and feel' visual of the proposal or presentations.

About You:


  • Educated to degree/HND or equivalent.
  • Experience in a bid/proposal management within the Facilities Management industry with clear experience in leading winning bids.
  • Impeccable time management, allowing prioritisation of a complex and varied workload.
  • Strong leadership skills in complex, multistakeholder environments.
  • Experience of leading, influencing and developing crossfunctional teams in a bid environment.
  • Excellent communication, written and spoken English essential with the ability to spot and correct spelling and grammatical errors in text written by others and create compelling text themselves.
  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to allow accurate manipulation and formatting of bid and presentation templates without supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in communicating with colleagues at all levels with the ability to form strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work accurately with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Proactive, hardworking and flexible when approaching challenging deadlines.
