What does a Business Affairs Coordinator do at Makerhouse?


The Business Affairs Coordinator at Makerhouse receives briefs to renew or extend mainly live action production assets, for both broadcast and non-broadcast international media.

This involves; thoroughly checking the brief, identifying the asset and which elements requires renewal, sourcing and matching relevant existing paperwork to undertake this task, contacting and negotiating with various agents, quoting to enquirer, then when confirmed tracking progress to make sure all admin sent, stored, updated and relevant deadlines are met.

They would report into the Business Affairs Manager.

This job requires high attention to detail and involves undertaking many jobs at the same time.


Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for general enquiries within the Department
  • General admin duties to keep the Business Affairs Department running smoothly
  • Support Business Affairs Manager
  • JIRA: Project Management System:
Managing all usage requests

  • MACONOMY: Finance System:

Creating usage estimates, setting up new vendors, raising Purchase Orders, checking and approving invoices, job reconciliation, production expenses, time sheets, absence.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to the Business Affairs Manager Sea Containers House.

You will work closely with Project Management, Account Management and Production teams.


Requirements:


  • Proficient with Word/Excel/Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in an agency TV department with understanding of renewal briefs and sorting artist negotiations and renewals
  • Experience updating fact sheets and filing of all usage documents
  • Good knowledge of international talent markets and different usage requirements
  • Proficient with Word/Excel/Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Interest in TV and Film
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • A proactive individual, able to work well independently and in a team
  • Have a positive outlook
  • A person who can quickly learn the Digital Content production process
  • Role mainly office hours however some overtime required at busy times
