Contract Type - Open-ended contract

Full-time, 35 Hours Per Week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly Professional Service team.

You will have a strong knowledge of Open Access to scholarly publications, research information systems and information management and provide Open Access support for the school and to a wide range of its academic staff.


The Opportunity:


As a member of the Administrative Services Management Team, the post holder will provide a strategic insight to specialist areas such as Open Access Compliance management.

They will be responsibility for the day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with Open Access requirements and all research outputs including data management.


The post will be line managed by and work closely with the School's Research Impact Manager & REF Administrative Co-ordinator to support activities such as reporting the schools impact activities, Open Access reports and REF compliance requirements.

A pro-active communicator, they will be involved in a wide ranging collaborations with schools communications team and academic staff.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Good knowledge of Open Access to scholarly publications, research information systems and information management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly manor.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively to build strong connections with scholarly communications, academic staff and line manager.
