Transport Services has an excellent reputation for providing the transportation requirements of school children with special needs, older people and adults with disabilities.

We are looking to recruit a Transport Operations Officer, on a permanent contract.

You will:


  • Be responsible for planning and organising operational staff and resources in Transport Operations, to ensure service delivery is met
  • Be responsible for assessing eligibility, completing risk assessments and commissioning special transport for young people and adults with special educational needs, whilst considering the most cost effective solution
  • Be required to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of the team's functions
  • Has IT, communication, analytical and time management skills
  • Be able to work under pressure, unsupervised and also work flexibly
  • Have previous knowledge and/or experience of transporting passengers with special educational needs is preferred, but not essential.
The role requires a rota's shift to be worked between with the ability to be flexible.
