I am working with a fabulous Financial Services firm in Newburn who are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join their newly created risk and assurance team.

My client is heavily invested in training and supporting their staff to progress within the business.

Working Monday to Friday you will report into the Risk and Assurance Manager.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

Perform and control the full audit cycle including finance risk management, control and reporting. Determine internal audit scope and develop plans
Analytical review of management accounts and financial statements to ensure accurate reporting
Challenge the reporting team on the results presented to ensure that they are produced in accordance with accounting standards and procedures
Implement internal processes for existing and new projects, working with various areas of the business to leverage automation
Review processes and procedures are being followed across operations, reporting, planning and regulatory capital. A wide scope covering the full finance function
Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
Prepare and present reports that reflect audit's results and document process. Documenting processes and preparing audit findings reports
Act as an objective source of independent advice to the finance team on policies and procedures

To be considered for the role you must have;

Ideally have previous experience in an internal audit role
Be AAT, ACCA or CIMA part qualified/ qualified or studying towards a qualification
Be flexible
Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
Have excellent analytical skills
Be a forward thinker
