Trainee Actuarial Analyst

We have a new opportunity for a junior team member to support the Actuarial department of this growing Lloyd's Syndicate.

This is a new role created to provide additional actuarial resource to meet the growing needs of Syndicate

A successful applicant for this role will be involved in:

Quarterly reserving exercise for the Syndicate, including reporting to the Reserving Committee, the Board, Lloyd's and Parent company
Regular meetings with all underwriting teams to discuss underwriting and pricing data, in addition to market trends and future outlooks.
Further to the above meetings be responsible for production of underwriting data for submission to Lloyd's under the guidance of one of the senior team members.
Assist in the parameterisation and validation of the Syndicate's internal model. Including reporting requirements to the Risk Committee and Lloyd's.
Have a good educational record, ideally with a 2:1 or higher degree; a numeric/financial degree would be ideal
Strong aptitude with IT, knowledge of (or a willingness to learn) MS Office would be essential.
Willingness to get involved in a wide variety of projects.
Good problemsolving ability.
R or Python knowledge preferable.
