SupplyGo are actively seeking SEND Teaching Assistant's to work at Specialist SEND Schools in Ilkeston, & surrounding areas. The role will consist of working on a 1:1 and small group basis, with children with Learning Difficulties, predominantly with Autism, ADHD, and other relating additional needs.

You will be a part of a child's ongoing development and route to independence and will be working with other professionals to help create a fun nurturing environment.

There is nothing better than watching a child grow and develop into a young adult with the knowledge that you have been a large part of that ongoing development.

You will be given a comprehensive walk around the school, talk about the roles themselves and ask any questions you have about the schools themselves.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Forming a strong relationship with the children in your care.
Helping the children become more independent.
Helping with daily tasks like getting ready for school.
Supporting the children within the class with emotional support.
Working with other health professionals.
Working on a child's development plan.

Skills
Empathy towards the children or young adults in your care.
A positive can-do attitude.
The ability to build great relationships with pupils and parents.
You must be able to adapt to each child's or young person's needs in your care.
The desire to be a part of a child's ongoing development.
