Based in the Careers and Student Life department at Imperial College Business School, the Data & Technology Coordinator will support our drive to personalise the student experience, optimise support for and reporting of student outcomes, and generate data insights that directly support the Business School's ambitious strategy.

We work across 15 MSc programmes and a suite of 4 MBA programmes (Full time, Executive, Weekend, and Global online), supporting 2,500+ students studying on campus or fully online, full time and part-time, plus 30,000 alumni.

Duties and responsibilities:


Your key duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Head of Careers Data and Technology drive the employment outcomes data collection for all 19 programmes at the Business School covering outcomes of 2,500+ MSc and MBA students a year
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Business School and proactively contact students and alumni to support the gathering of key employment data using a range of methods and channels; maintain and update annual planners to support this activity
  • Promote and market the services of the Data and Technology Team including eResources, tech platforms and innovative hardware to students and staff to increase student engagement; develop a strategy and timetable for this promotion
  • Develop, embed and coordinate the use of key online platforms used by the Careers & Student Life department including leading and maintaining 12/Twenty, a worldleading careers management system and reporting tool
  • Work with the Head of Careers Data and Technology to produce employment reports for our MSc and MBA Programmes and to report data for external School and programme ranking submissions.
  • Champion the use of PowerBI dashboards for key stakeholders to access information to inform strategic decisions and planning

Essential requirements:


To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Good administration skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytic and technology skill including advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of gathering/participating in data collection and of designing surveys
  • Experience of using data to produce reports and analysis
  • Confidence in decision making and ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects; be results orientated
  • Experience of creating data pipelines from a thirdparty software into dashboards or equivalent
  • Able to think and operate strategically and autonomously
  • A sensitivity to different cultures and employment practices between the UK and elsewhere, with a proven commitment to equality of opportunity
