Description
A small residential care home in Antrim who provide a range of services for residents by a caring and committed team.
- Assist with the delivery of personal and social care to residents in accordance with their assessed needs and in a manner which respects the individuality and preference of the resident
- Deliver care at all times in a manner that upholds the dignity of the resident
- Provide the necessary assistance for residents at mealtimes and encourage fluids and snacks throughout the day.
- Contribute to the individual resident risk assessments and implement individual risk management plans
- Encourage and enable the residents to maintain present mobility and independence
- Assist with admission/discharge/transfer of residents
- Maintain all resident care records accurately and in accordance with legislation and home policies
- Adhere to home policy in relation to residents' personal clothing and valuables
- Complete and record residents weights in accordance to their care plan and report any concerns to the person in charge
- Collect specimens as directed by the person in charge
- At all times practice in accordance with the homes infection control policy
- Be present and attentive during the handover report when coming on duty
- Adhere to the homes policies and procedures at all times
- Report accidents and incidents to the person in charge and record as per policy and procedure
- Assist in the ordering of stock and report to the person in charge when supplies require replenishing
- Complete all cleaning duties in accordance to the needs of the home
- Answer the telephone: take, relay and document messages as required
- Remain personally up to date with respect to good practice, policy, procedure and individual care plans
- Attend all mandatory and professional development training and complete all elearning organised and provided by the home
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract
Part-time hours: 36 per week
Salary:
£10.42-£13.50 per hour

Full PPE is provided and should be worn when completing personal care and all staff must wear masks while they are on shift except if they are eating or drinking.
