We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Security Officer.

As a Security Officer at this site in Hertfordshire, you will get the opportunity to provide specialist security services for a prolific and highly experienced company.

The work at our client is extremely important given its commitment to research and supply medicines to clinicians, patients and customers around the world.

Therefore, we are looking for security officers who understand and appreciate the significance of their work.


Working in a corporate environment and reporting to the Head of Security, you will be conversant with the correct use of technology and procedures and work in a team with other security personnel to maintain the integrity of the clients assets and people.

It is essential that as our security officer, you adhere to all Health and Safety policies whilst conducting assigned duties and that all incidents are reported in an efficient and timely manner.

A typical day in the life as a Security Officer:

  • Ensuring the building is safe and protected by carrying out both internal and external patrols, actively preventing any security concerns.
  • Checking, and verifying entry passes, monitoring of alarm systems, access control and investigating any suspicious activity or behaviour.
  • Interaction with customers, meeting and greeting both staff and visitors; listening to requests, taking an interest in what they have to say, show empathy, and be prepared to answer questions and follow up where you feel you might be able to help. It's about going that extra mile to show people we care.

  • SIA Licence
  • Experience in a security environment is beneficial but not essential, we are willing to put the time and resource into someone who may be recently licensed to give you the first step you might need.
  • Hard work and excitement for your job, we love to see people enjoying their role
  • A positive attitude with experience in a customer service role.
