**Job Description:

What you'll be doing:

Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the client and senior colleagues
Establish & maintain client relationships
Support business development activities by senior colleagues
Carry out site surveys (including defect analysis, condition surveys & compliance checks)
Carry out design and specification work and preparing tender information
Administering building contracts (JCT &/or NEC)
Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including Condition Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis, PW work, dilapidations, Fire Risk Assessments)
Liaise with Clients, Contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership.

What we are looking for:

BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent
MRICS or MCIOB, or similar
Have several years' experience of advising on commercial properties either in a Building Surveying or Building Control environment
Ability to establish a good working relationship with Clients and colleagues
Selfmotivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Good AutoCAD skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including report writing
Good technical knowledge of building construction and compliance with standards and regulations
Full UK Driving Licence
