Based in Research and Innovation, you will focus on supporting research ethics across the university.

Under the direction of the Research Governance Officer, you will focus on providing efficient and effective professional administrative support to enable the smooth and efficient running of Faculty Research Ethics Committees, including supporting the online ethics system and maintaining databases storing information regarding research ethics.

You will also provide administrative support to the rest of the ethics and governance team and report to the Senior Research Integrity and Governance Manager.


You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work as an effective member of a team.

You will be able to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and have an understanding of the legal requirements relating to data protection and confidentiality.

Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 1st January 2024 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.


This is part-time position (working 14.5 hours per week), you will need to be in the office on Tuesdays but with flexibility over the remaining hours and is fixed-term to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to be for approximately 12 months, commencing January 2024.
