    About The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team. This key role involves managing aged debt and invoice reconciliation across various customer groups, including Medico-Legal Solicitor (MLS) clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Issue invoices and monthly statements, and respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Monitor and manage aged debt across different sectors and clients, ensuring efficient and effective credit control processes.
    • Chase payments by phone and email in accordance with our established credit control policies.
    • Allocate payments accurately, applying credit notes or write-offs as necessary.
    • Liaise with internal teams to resolve pricing queries and account issues, providing excellent customer service.
    • Maintain and amend account records, ensuring data accuracy at all times.
    • Support the MLS fee query process, including negotiation and case management.
    • Collaborate with wider Finance teams to ensure seamless debt recovery processes.
    • Report on performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Knowledge, Experience, And Qualifications

    • Proficient in using PCs and relevant software applications.
    • Confident and effective communicator, able to handle customer queries over the phone.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Experience working with financial and numerical data, liaising with customers to collect debtors.
    • Proven track record in raising invoices and credit notes, dealing with customer queries, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Relevant professional experience or GCSEs/equivalent qualification.
