The Job Role
The Senior Repairs Surveyor role will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance in the Northern region, covering properties in the North East, Yorkshire & North West.
With 2 direct reports covering the NW and NE you and your team will strive to ensure the provision of a good service in all aspects of responsive, cyclical, and major repairs to tenanted and void properties.
The Senior Repairs Surveyor also takes responsibilityfor managing maintenance contractors in line with the contract management framework including any performance improvement areas.
The Senior Repairs Surveyor will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, monitor budgets, whilstnever compromising on H&S regulations.
Person Specification
This role requires a confident and experienced professional to help ensure the smooth delivery of all repairs and maintenance.
You will need to be up to date with current building and H&S legislations, as well as a sound understanding in procurement routesin Housing.
Naturally there will be travel involved, with mileage expenses currently paid at an enhanced rate, so a clean driving license is essential as well as an enhanced DBS.
Benefits
The Basic Salary band for this role is between £40,000 - £45,000 depending upon experience, ideally within commuting distance of West Yorkshire Head Office, so Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire are good locations.
The company offers a Hybrid workingmodel and 35 Hours a week is the standard working hours requirement, which is further evidence of working for a caring organisation.
