Alterian is US owned, British heritage company that has customers across the globe - particularly in UK, US and Australia.
The Role
We are looking for a quality oriented, enthusiastic and motivated person to help influence and drive forward our C# development approach.
Working in an agile development team, you'll jump straight in, reviewing current processes and looking for ways we can improve and grow.
Working closely with the Product Owners, you will be responsible for developing and contributing to the design of new features as well as ensuring product quality and on-time delivery.
The position has an opportunity to develop into team lead role.What you'll need
This is a great role for someone who likes a varied and agile environment, working on new feature development in short timescale releases.
Essential Competencies & Skills
- Some one that is process driven but capable of working in a fastpaced agile environment to deliver value to end users as quickly as possible.
- Strong SQL Server experience including tuning, indexing and stored procedures.
- Ability to take outlined product requirements and translate them into detailed product implementations.
- Someone that Keeps up to date with latest development toolsets and processes.
- Source control management (ideally GIT / Bitbucket).
Desired Competencies & Skills
- Jenkins (building, deploying & automating).
- Jira (Issue and Project tracking).
- Familiarity with tools such as Packer, Terraform & Docker.
- Awareness of machine learning tools, such as TensorFlow.
- Ability to train and develop other members of the development team.
- Leadership experience, managing processes and resources.
What you'll get (Salary & Benefits)
£50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, dental and private medical insurance.
