HEAD OF DATA GOVERNANCE

London - Hybrid

THE COMPANY:

I'm working closely with a global telecommunication brand that is looking for an ambitious Head of Data Governance that will spearhead the execution of a company-wide data strategy to improve analytics.

The company has heavily invested in a cloud platformand needs a seasoned Governance professional to design and implement a use case to improve data governance frameworks.

THE ROLE:

As the Head of Data Governance, you will work in conjunction with the CDO to build a governance roadmap over the next 24 months.

You will work with Data Owners to standardise data assets, improve data lineage and support junior members of the team.

You will:

Examine the current data governance practices and provide recommendations to improve the strategy to the CDO and senior stakeholders
Implement a data glossary to standardise data assets across the business
Implement a cataloguing tool to identify where data assets are stored in the cloud platform (Azure)
Report on the quality of data assets to senior stakeholders
Champion the use of data governance practices across the business

REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the role, you will require

Demonstrated experience as a Data Governance Manager or Lead
Demonstrated experience designing a data governance strategy
Senior stakeholder management experience
Experience designing an enterprise data model
Some mentoring or leadership experience would be ideal
Experience within telecomms, retail, or marketing would be ideal
