Salary:
£24,000 - £30,000 p.a. dependant on experience


Hours: 40 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)


Hybrid Working: 2 x days office & 3 x days home


About the role:


We have an opportunity for a Senior Tour Operating Executive to work closely with our Product Manager to grow our Tour Operating business within Cruise118 and SixStarCruises.

This role will involve identifying new opportunities across cruise, tours, hotels, and flights building, and managing unique packages to maximise product differentiation and margins across both brands.

What you will be doing:


  • Work with Product Manager and Head of Product and Commercial to deliver on the packaging strategy and business objectives for the financial year.
  • Conduct regular indepth analysis with detailed follow up actions and recommendations.
  • Develop a network support centre for sales concierge for easy reference to packaged material and user guides.
  • Review and analyse data, performance, and processes to ensure margin and efficiency improvements across packaging by supplier to increase profitability and productivity.
  • Liaise with the Marketing team and Product team to ensure strong weekly exposure of the tour operator packages across all channels.
  • Conduct weekly competitor analysis of similar packages to ensure competitive pricing, and ongoing market research within Travel.
  • Develop and build relationships with a portfolio of DMC's and noncruise suppliers.
  • Manage the tour operator build strategies on a regular basis.

Groups - Deliver on the below key responsibilities to ensure positive performance on all group allocation:


  • Management of tour group inventory.
  • Ensure our Sales Concierge have all the information needed to sell into these, working with the Product Manager, Training Manager and Sales Manager.
  • Report to Product Manager (weekly) or as required our group performance.
  • Controlling group rooming lists and management with suppliers.
  • Liaise with suppliers on management of group allocation and new opportunities.

Exclusive Packages - Deliver on the below key responsibilities to ensure positive performance on all exclusive allocation:


  • Create unique packages, utilising exclusive rate, group allocation and preferred rates.
  • Keep pricing of these offers up to date on a weekly / biweekly basis dependant on departure date.
  • Produce internal communication to increase brand awareness to sell into this product.
  • Turn around where possible new adhoc deals within a 24hr/48hr timeframe, ready for market.
  • Liaise with suppliers on management of group allocation and new opportunities

Measures of Success:


  • Achievement of packaging targets, which will include margin retention by supplier and by brand.
  • Improved range of product and tour operator providers.
  • Improvement in concierge confidence, knowledge, and ability with packaged enquiries.
  • Packaged product quality, range and competitiveness across our marketing channels for our cruise line partners.
  • Accuracy of pricing and promotions across all brands.
  • Awareness and understanding of all cruise line campaigns, systems and pricing.
  • Awareness and understanding of noncruise line supplier's systems, product range and pricing.

Skills and Experience
years' experience within a cruise, managing contracting, sales delivery and relationships with DMC, flight, and land providers.

  • Experience in a tour operating environment with responsibilities for product build, margin control and competitor analysis.
  • Excellent worldwide destination knowledge.
  • Mature, considered approach.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage own workload efficiently to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
