Position


You will play a pivotal role in defining our strategy and marketing function, elevating our brand presence, driving lead generation, and ultimately contributing to the growth of Africa Practice.

You will work directly with our chief of staff, who has so far overseen marketing initiatives, but retain a very strong focus on cross-functional collaboration.


This is a fractional role with a flexible time commitment in a hybrid work model, compatible with GMT/CET/SAST/EAT time zones.

This is ideally suited for an experienced marketing expert who can provide strategic leadership on a part-time basis.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth, while enjoying a high degree of autonomy and flexibility in managing your schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Marketing strategy development (20%)
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define our marketing objectives and strategy aligned directly with Africa Practice's threeyear growth objectives.
  • Provide an assessment of the Africa Practice brand.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience/client segmentation to identify key opportunities and areas for differentiation, given the current levels of resourcing available.
  • Establish KPIs to evaluate the success of future marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Prepare templates/dashboards for executive leadership to track trends, and make impactful decisions regarding marketing.
  • Marketing strategy execution (80%)
  • Lead generation (30%)_
  • Identify the best routes for lead generation an area that has previously remained underexplored
  • Design and implement effective lead generation campaigns and tactics to attract new clients and expand our customer base.
  • Run two such campaigns, encompassing inbound and outbound marketing techniques, including digital marketing, events, and partnerships.
  • Audit the campaigns to provide a realistic way forward for future lead generation efforts.
  • Brand management (20%)_
  • Develop a blueprint for maintaining a strong brand identity and positioning that resonates with our target audience and reflects our mission, as well as our unique value proposition.
  • Oversee the update of compelling brand assets, including messaging, visual elements, and content across various channels.
  • Oversee the production of highquality content by team providing feedback for improvement on an ongoing basis throughout the contract duration.
  • Digital marketing (15%)_
  • Identify key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of digital marketing for maximum ROI, embedding them in the team's operations and decisionmaking.
  • Team structuring and development (15%)_
  • Provide guidance and support to our marketing team, establishing high performance standards, and driving professional growth and excellence.
  • Identify gaps that can be filled through independent or fractional support.

Requirements:


  • Degree in related field, MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles, with a minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Deep expertise in developing and implementing resultsoriented marketing strategies, including brand management, lead generation, digital marketing, and marketing communications.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in leveraging datadriven insights to inform decisionmaking and optimise marketing performance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate crossfunctional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Resultsoriented mindset with a passion for driving business growth and delivering measurable results.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions, especially in a time
- and resource-constrained context.
