Description
Bridge-it Housing are a registered charity and social landlord operating across various sites in the North of England.

This role is based at our head office LS13 2EP, contracted to 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm) with NEST pension and 38 days annual leave per year (inc Bank holidays) with increases for Length of Service.

Valid, demonstrable experience and right to work in the UK is required for this role.


Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Lead in payroll projects and elevate the employer brand through effective payroll operations
  • Effectively review payments and schedules accurately and at pace as part of payroll close out
  • Support with HR and general administration of the head office function as and when required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, leading end to end processes
  • Proficient in the use of software such as Sage 50, HRIS systems, Excel
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse data and resolve discrepancies
  • Knowledge of accounts payable principles
  • Experience with Sage for accurate data entry
  • Understanding of human resources functions related to payroll
