Cranleigh STEM is working with an innovative organisation that designs, develops, and manufactures speciality OES spectrometers for various industry sectors.

We are looking for a Product Sales Specialist to join its team in West Sussex on a permanent, full-time basis.


You will be responsible for generating sales of OES spectrometers, building and maintaining customer and prospect relationships within the UK and Northern Ireland.

Ensure that the products are made available in the market by analysing the trends of the customers and developing sales plans and strategies to meet their needs.


To be considered you should possess a proven track record of sales, ideally within a technical specialty, analytical instrumentation, laboratory equipment or related field.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare, discuss, and agree quarterly: the business plan for the sales region.
  • Report weekly sales pipeline to Head of Business Development.
  • Maintain sales leads, opportunities, and quotations in the CRM.
  • Assisting in planning product promotions and lead generation programs to develop emerging and existing markets.
  • Hold regular meetings with all UK customers and prospects and foster and maintain these relationships.
  • Provide presales technical assistance and product education to existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain a professional awareness of competitor's product developments. Attend product training days as required.

Requirements:


  • Ability to demonstrate computer proficiency using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Possess the ability to rapidly understand problems and systematically work on solutions.
  • Knowledge of Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) or Xray Fluorescence (XRF) technology would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous sales, Business Development, or Account Management experience.
  • Willingness to travel in and around the UK.
  • Able to articulate technical or complex issues clearly.

Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 + Commission
