The role


As an Access Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll be the first point of call for all MIP access into the Devonport Royal Dockyard site.

Day to day, you'll managing access to Devonport. This includes all visitors / employees of the Dockyard.

  • Provide a professional customer service and gateway to the Devonport site.
  • Provide an effective and efficient counter service to ensure that MIP is in compliance with MoD contract requirements.
  • To review and identify improvements in processes with a view to continually improve the working environment, bringing in efficiencies and effective outputs that are value for money.
  • Promote the team ethos in the reception centres.
  • Strive to meet the contractual KPI's.

Essential experience of the Access Officer

  • Good knowledge of IT systems
  • Ideally a security background, but not essentially
This is a full time role based at Devonport Royal Dockyard.


Qualifications for the Access Officer

  • Ideally have GCSE Maths & English
  • Ideally NVQ in Customer Services
