Immunisation and Cervical Cytology Administrator


JOB PURPOSE:


To manage the Nexus Immunisations schedules and to be responsible for all administration including targets, recalls, searches, immunisation data for new patients and data input.

To manage administration in relation to cervical cytology


MAIN DUTIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

The post-holder will:

  • Manage the quarterly Childhood Immunisation targets, updating Open Exeter, producing searches and managing the recall system.
  • Be responsible for sending correspondence to patients and following up responses
- updating system with immunisation details, recording non consent, deductions.

  • Update new patient immunization data, Health Visitor "Red Book" data on to clinical system,
  • Run all recall searches and complete required actions including sending lists of patients to Immunization leads for further follow up.
  • Liaising with site leads in relation to overdue immunizations lists and actions taken.
  • Respond and action requests from the Immunization leads, alerting Target team and leads of potential issues with the quarterly target.
  • Reporting to the Nurse Manager on immunisation performance broken down at site level
  • Work with Nurse Manager to regularly review and redevelop recall systems to achieve immunisation targets.
  • Be the point of contact for all immunisation administrative queries.
  • To be involved in the administration of seasonal and national immunisation campaigns.
  • Attend monthly target meetings

DATA PROTECTION ACT

  • Employees must be aware of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 198
  • You must not at any time use the personal data held by Nexus Health Group for any purpose not described in the registry entry or disclose to a third party
  • Completing documents relating to cervical smears in line with protocol set out by nurse manager. Coding recall dates on patient notes
  • Booking telephone calls with nurses if patients need contacting in relation to missed colposcopy appointments if necessary
  • Completing and coding normal cervical cytology results

  • Identifying risks involved in work activities and ensuring appropriate safeguards are used when the activities are undertaken
  • Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
  • Using appropriate infection control procedures
  • Maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way free from hazards
  • Reporting any risks that are identified both timely and accurately to your line manager
