Secondary Transition Mentors
Children and young people are at the heart of everything we do at the Borough of Royal Greenwich.


With this in mind, are you an experienced Educational Practitioner who is committed to championing the education of all children and young people? The post holder we are looking to appoint is a Transition Mentor to work within our wonderful Secondary Inclusion Service.

You must be able to work effectively as part of a team with a clear focus on 'children and young people first'.

You will be part of new team and role in developing supportive strategies and interventions to enable young people who may struggle with the transition from Primary to Secondary to enable them to have the best start in their new phase of education.

The ability to work independently and with high levels of efficiency and self-organisation is essential to be successful in this role.


We are looking for a person with education experience who is willing to champion our children and young people and ensure they thrive.


With the support of the Secondary Inclusion Service manager and team members from across our Inclusive Services you will provide an enhanced service with a team of two officers, to ensure that all vulnerable children and young people who may be at risk of exclusion and/or disengagement in education are supported to succeed both academically and pastorally.
