Job Overview:

Duties:

1.1. Monitor, plan, coordinate and control service provision at Site as per this Job Description and Line Manager's instructions.

1.2. Manage Day Janitors and evening cleaning team.

1.3. Complete routine tasks and assess daily changes and report to Operations manager and client on site, propose solutions.

1.4.

Control supplies, tools, PPE etc on site:
1.5.

Ensure the required amount of PPE is stored on site and new PPE is ordered as and when required, including seasonal.

1.6. Ensure that the right amount of tools and consumables is in all cleaning cupboards and GSF storage.

1.7. Ensure that equipment is fixed and maintained as scheduled and as and when required.

1.8. Ensure compliance with contract budgets.

1.9. Assess service quality including incoming requests on Helpdesk and, if applicable, plan, coordinate and control corrective actions.

1.10. Recruit, vet, re-allocate staff and ensure the required number of staff on site to complete specification.

1.11. Control management of HR issues on site and raise disciplinary issues with Operations manager Manager.

1.12. Ensure stock control and order rechargeable and consumables.

1.13. Report all accidents accordingly to GSF and client, then ensure appropriate investigation and implement further actions required.

1.14. Motivate and lead subordinated employees.

1.15. Ensure skills level and skills pool at all times.

1.16. Train staff as and when required.

1.17. Always work within Health and Safety legislation.

1.18. Comply with company's procedures and requirements.

1.19. Report all machinery faults to Line Manager.

1.20. To be vigilant and report any security breaches immediately to Line Manager and client.

1.21.

Carry out any other duties (in consultation with Line Manager) that may be required to meet the changing needs of the contract.

1.22.

Ensure all monthly audits are completed accurately and all areas are completed within the monthly audit and that this is synchronized and placed on client space.

All audits are also required to be checked before being presented to the client.

1.23.

Arrange and participate actively within monthly supervisor team meetings in order to develop ideas, identify any problems and support the supervisors and Assistant Manager.


  • Responsibility
8.1. Carry out Site Managers duties in accordance with job description, specification and Line Manager's requirements.

8.2. Ensure that quality of service provided always correspond to GSF standards.

8.3. Comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times.

8.4. Suggest improvements to service provision or management system whenever possible.

8.5. Complete and manage operative working schedules accurately to the labour budgets and make the necessary amendments. Prepare a provisional schedule for one week in advance taking into consideration holidays.

Any amendments due to staff sickness need to be changed on both rotas and supervisor for the shift made aware.

8.6. When authorizing holiday request, adhere to all staff levels at all times following policies and procedures.

8.7.

Ensure all operatives working on site under GSF have all relevant documentation and training documents completed before works commence at all times.

8.8. Ensure all periodic cleans and also all contracts within the site are adhered to as per the schedule. Liaise with your line manager to arrange specialist cleaning if required.

8.9. Ensure a monthly H&S audit is also completed and sent to your Line Manager and Health and safety manager.

8.10. Ensure all timescales are meet at all times.

9.1. Plan, coordinate and control job allocation.

9.2. Train subordinated employees.

9.3. Control the performance of subordinated employees and raise disciplinary issues with Area Manager.

9.4. Plan, coordinate and control corrective and preventive actions.


  • Reporting To Operations Manager weekly.
Managerial personnel from Operations Department on their request.


  • Necessary qualification, skills, experience 11.1. Successfully completed supervisor's training course carried out by GSF Approved Trainers.
11.2. Understanding both Risk and COSHH assessments provided for the tasks to be carried out.


Pay:
£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
