Manufacturing Supervisor Band 6 (Leadership experience gained from a manufacturing environment essential)

Working shifts 4 on / 4 off 12 hours shifts

£Basic + 40% Shift Allowance + Pension + Gym facilities on-site other excellent benefits


This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as we embark on an exciting new journey within the world of Life Sciences here at Inchinnan.

In April 2023 we will open our brand-new purpose-built manufacturing facility incorporating the latest technology to manufacture custom media products used by our customers to make vital drugs, vaccines, and medicines to improve people's health.

The 1st 3-6 months of the role will require you to help support through the validation period, helping build a strong team, whilst gaining your training.

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of our manufacturing facility while achieving delivery of targets through the effective management, development and coaching of a multifunctional team, identifying and implementing continuous process improvements, team engagement and staff involvement.


You'll be leading and supervising manufacturing related programs and activities to support the operation, providing leadership, critical thinking, and results focus to optimally meet and exceed the site's production targets while achieving high levels of quality.


This position requires an individual capable of partnering across the organization to handle a fast-paced production environment and deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Ensures business, quality and compliance goals are achieved.


What will you do?

  • Maintain quality products and equipment in manufacturing
  • Observe and maintain all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety precautions and housekeeping practices in performing duties
  • Training of staff, management of schedule execution and ensuring that all processes are completed with a safety / quality first approach
  • Completing mini projects or a team member within site wide projects completing documentation changes, review and improving operational metrics
  • Deliver effective communication across the shift, department or site
  • Effectively develop team members using situational leadership and performance management tools to ensure employees' potential is achieved
  • Find opportunities and maintain a funnel to improve line performance and work with team to actively pursue opportunities
  • Improve overall customer experience through improved schedule attainment, improved yield, reduced rework, effective 5S execution and adherence to the ISO13485:2016 standard
  • Ensure all compliancebased training is continually monitored and kept up to date

Who we are looking for:


  • Leadership experience gained within a high put manufacturing environment is essential
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and how best to deploy the different tools to drive efficiencies in manufacturing processes
  • Requirement to lead or be a team member of projects supporting continued growth of the operation
  • Be able to review and present data at levels of the business to deliver sound business case for investment in people / process to expand current processes
  • Must show a passion for a knowledge leader role and fully engage in any initiatives that the team undertakes to make improvements to safety, quality, service or cost metrics
  • Fluency in the English language
