Position Overview:

As a Trainee Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations within our warehouse facility. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in warehouse procedures, logistics, and inventory management.

Under the guidance of experienced warehouse staff, you will learn the fundamentals of warehouse operations and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in this field.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with receiving, unloading, and unpacking incoming shipments.
Inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
Learn to accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company procedures.
Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory levels within the warehouse.
Learn to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Participate in regular stock counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste materials.
Learn to utilize warehouse management software systems for inventory tracking and order processing.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse supervisors or managers.

Qualifications:

No prior experience required; onthejob training will be provided.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced warehouse staff.
Valid driver's license (preferred).

This position is ongoing through Rachel Hill Resourcing and could potentially go permanent.
