We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established family run haulage firm for our early shift.

• Good knowledge of the surrounding area.
• Experience in Transport planning.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT literate.
• Experience in working under pressure.
• Understanding Driver hours and rest periods.

• Ensure drivers follow the correct procedures.
• Debrief at the end of each shift.
• Plan driver routes.
• Check Driver locations using trackers and phone.
• Effectively manage driver resource
• Updating Client and Customers with delivery times etc.
• Communicate with other planners and drivers.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office and comfortable learning and using new software
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
• Good communication & customer service skills.
• Experience working from a similar environment preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure & cope during high volume peaks.
