VCL Vintners are a leading company in the whisky brokerage industry, and are looking to hire a Full-Time Content & Social Media Manager.

Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be to support the marketing team with developing and implementingthe overall B2C digital marketing strategies.


The content we require spans; Website content, blog articles / news stories, podcasts, social media posts (image / video), webinars, our printed client newspaper and other materials as the need arises.

The role will see you working across the main whiskybrokerage arm of the business and 2 new divisions of the company that are being developed.


This role is 40 hours per week and is predominantly home working with occasional trips to the office in the City of London, approximately 2 to 4 times per month.


Responsibilities

  • Operate as the main focal point for everything to do with social media and content.
  • Manage the endtoend production of content, from taking briefs and conducting research, to writing briefs and working with copywriters and editors, to creating digital media such as graphics, creating shortform video for social media, and liaising withexternal agencies for the creation of longer form video.
  • Develop and manage a social and content calendar to schedule where and when content is to be published
  • Monitor all activity across social channels, moderate discussions and be the social expert have a good understanding of audience behaviours on key social channels and understand how content should respond to this
  • Search for and repurpose User Generated Content (UGC)
  • Work with wider team members to create written, image and video content to fulfil the marketing calendar
  • Monitor and share the latest social media and content marketing trends and new social opportunities to ensure the business is at the forefront
  • Review data, weekly and monthly summaries/ dashboards of all activity and results, measuring achievements against objectives and working proactively to make suggestions and recommendations based on KPIs
  • Attend live events in the UK and internationally in order to create extensive social media assets, including photos, videos, vlogs and stories
  • Be the main social and content contact for sharing learnings and best practice to support the social media and content growth and engagement
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a smooth briefing and content production process.
  • Proactively research and recommend fresh ideas or formats for content to meet departmental/corporate objectives
  • Enhance and deliver the brand voice, tone and values across all channels
  • Repurpose the blog, podcast and video content for all social platforms: Instagram (grid, stories, reels), Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant new social platforms that may arise.
  • Control a dynamic posting schedule to ensure consistent posting of engaging content across all channels
  • Create and edit images using Photoshop and build up a repository of images
  • Regularly create and edit videos using editing tools. Creating content by briefing colleagues to film and by filming it yourself.
  • Work with our CMO to ensure seamless delivery of content and messaging across social media and deliver livestreams across our social platforms and live webinars

What you'll need:


  • 3 years'+ experience managing social media accounts, with an established brand
  • Launched at least one new social media account (e.g. TikTok) in role
  • Had demonstrable impact in social channels you have managed i.e. increased engagement levels, increased followers
  • Competent in using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Hootsuite (or other social media scheduling tools), Photoshop / Illustrator / Canva or similar, Camtasia / Final Cut Pro or similar. Please note that image and videocreation skills are a prerequisite for the role
  • Creative copy writing and image editing skills
  • Good video editing skills to create small assets
  • Good understanding of digital marketing
  • Meticulous eye for detail, excellent grammar and proof reading ability
  • Lots of enthusiasm for the organic formulation sector you don't need to be an expert, but if you're willing to learn that's great
  • Basic Wordpress / CMS editing skills
  • Comfortable in front of the camera

£35,000 - £45,000
