Description

An Assistant Financial Controller is required for expanding business in Poole. The role would suit a Finance Manager in a smaller business looking for a wider role to move into.

My client is interested in either a Finalist, Newly Qualified or 2-3 Years postqualified and ideally from a corporate background with demonstrable staff management experience as you will manage a team of 6.

You
MUST have multi country and multi-currency experience and ideally have worked within an IT/software or technical sector.

Key duties and tasks:

Staff management of finance team, including 121's, annual reviews, and performance plans
Identify and carry out training of finance team in line with objectives
To provide cover in absence of Financial Controller
Assisting and resolving complex transactional issues
Review and approve global payrolls
Weekly ledger reviews with team owner
Monthly BS reviews with accounts team
Ownership of month end close process
Review and submission of management account pack to Group Financial Controller
Continuous process and policy improvements
Engaging in company IT project implementations
Business partner with other departments on linked processes
