Due to continuing business growth, we are looking to expand our HR capabilty and, as such, are on the lookout for an
HR Advisor to join the HR and Payroll Team at
Snows Head Office based in
Southampton.


As
HR Advisor, you will provide proactive operational HR and administrative support to our colleagues at all levels across the business and will be an active participant in delivering the People Agenda.


Your day

As an
HR Advisor, your day will involve:


  • Act as the first point of contact for line managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management and providing high quality advice aligned with current legislation.
  • Maintain oversight of absence management cases across the Group by supporting line managers in effectively managing absence, supporting colleagues to return to work and reduce absence levels.
  • Support recruitment where needed.
  • Support managers in consulting with colleagues in cases of contractual changes, redundancy, or TUPE.
  • Coaching and training managers on developing management styles that promote positive working relationships.
  • Contribute to and deliver onboarding to welcome new starters to the Group.
  • Regularly review existing HR policies and procedures and ensure they are up to date and in line with current legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Operational Team and HR Manager on any HR projects or initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of current employment legislation and make recommendations for updates / changes where appropriate.
  • Track, analyse and interpret key HR metrics to provide senior management with insights into trends and opportunities across the Group.
  • Promote and maintain positive people relations across the Group.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.
  • Good listener with the ability to advise and support our teams across the Group.
  • Able to assimilate information quickly and provide considered responses.
  • Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent qualifications.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • PC, Microsoft, web literate.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
