Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing

Full-time permanent post at Wolverhampton City Campus

Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing key roles and responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the nursing curricula and the specialist mental health related modules
  • Take responsibility for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the wider student experience through personal tutoring, classroom teaching and providing support in and outside the classroom
  • Assist in student recruitment activities, including interviews, open days and external recruitment events
  • The role may require crosscampus working

To be successful in the Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing role you will**- Be educated to Master's level or evidence of level 7 study and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered Mental Health Nurse

  • Have an excellent knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing practice
  • Be willing to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Education if not already achieved. Have an awareness of teaching and learning methodologies, and demonstrate enthusiasm for innovative teaching and supporting the development of learners.
