We are on the lookout for a
Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic and inclusive learning community based in
Burton-On-Trent, to contribute to the supportive and enriching environment we provide to our students to maximise their academic success


As a
Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Behavioural Support:Implementing behaviour management strategies to support students in maintaining positive behaviour. Providing one-on-one or small-group interventions to address behavioural challenges. Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans.

Academic Support:Assisting students with their academic tasks, providing additional support where necessary. Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
Monitoring and recording student progress, collaborating with the teaching team to assess and address learning gaps.

Emotional Support:Build positive relationships with students to promote emotional well-being. Providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves and develop social skills. Recognizing and responding to the social and emotional needs of students.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the academic and emotional development of students.

Requirements:


  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs.

£82.09-£93.76 per day
